Highlights from the TM1 and IBM Planning Analytics Conference — Melbourne 2025

The TM1 and IBM Planning Analytics Conference in Melbourne took place on 20 May 2025, bringing together over a hundred planning, analytics and finance professionals for a day focused on innovation, learning and community.

Held at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the event featured a full-day agenda of expert-led sessions, roundtable discussions, live demos and networking opportunities, all centred around the evolving capabilities of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and how organisations are using it to drive performance and agility.

  • IBM Roadmap Update: The day kicked off with IBM presenting the future direction of Planning Analytics, including updates to the Planning Analytics engine, PAW and emerging AI integrations.
  • TM1 World Championship Qualifiers: Attendees had the chance to compete in qualifiers as part of the global TM1 competition series that will be held at the end of the year (link).
  • Demo Booths: Tools like Arc, Pulse, Slice, Apliqo UX and the Planning Analytics Assistant were on display for attendees to explore the latest enhancements and capabilities. Plus, learning what’s new in education, which includes our new course on modelling and watsonx.ai.
