🌅 About Horizon
Horizon is the biggest user conference dedicated to IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 that has evolved for over a decade since the event began in 2009 under the original title, ‘TM1 User Conference’.
Last year, we pivoted our in-person conference to an online platform and was amazed with the reach IBM Planning Analytics had, where over 40 countries tuned in.
Since last year’s conference in August 2020, it has been a busy year for IBM Planning Analytics with regular updates from IBM, Workspace’s new interface, companies pushing their model further and predictive analytics gaining more traction.
There will be a lot of interesting topics at Horizon, so don’t miss out on what is happening in our industry that only comes around, once every year.
🌐 Who is Horizon for?
If your company have bought or are thinking about purchasing IBM Planning Analytics, this event is for you! There will be sessions for decision makers, end-users and developers, presented by companies, consultants and IBM.

📅 When and what time does Horizon and the Hands-on Lab begin?
Horizon begins on Tuesday 19th October at 9:00am AEDT / 3:30am IST / 11:00pm BST / 6:00pm EDT. There will be an English stream that will run for 24 hours and a handful of presentations in Arabic, German, French, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Hands-on Lab access will start on Monday 25th October starting at 9:00am for your time zone. Commencing a week after Horizon, this would give attendees a couple of days to watch presentations missed and decide whether they would like to further their product knowledge.
Lab access will end on Friday 5th November at 5:30pm for your time zone.
👩🏫 What do I get with Horizon?
There will be over 100 sessions at Horizon, presented from experts all over the world that includes IBM, consultants and companies. We are also looking at new ways to make the conference more engaging with workshops, where you can hear peers discuss their experience in on a particular topic, but also give you the opportunity to contribute to the conversation.
There are two types of access to Horizon:
- Free Online Pass: gain access to a handful of pre-selected sessions in English and all sessions in Arabic, German, French, Mandarin and Cantonese.
- All Online Pass: gain access to all sessions, plus re-watch recorded presentation after the conference.
We highly recommend purchasing the All Online Pass, if IBM Planning Analytics is key to your role, to find inspiration on what you should do next with the product your company has invested in.
With both passes, you will receive:
- Access to the Horizon community on the Cubewise EDU Community Hub
- Access to the online conference platform
👩💻 What do I get with the Hands-on Lab?
The Hands-on Lab is an introduction to a product that gives you space to learn about its features that would usually be difficult to try out in your own work environment.
The content will be self-paced, so you can learn alongside business as usual work over 10 business days, starting on the 25th October.
There are 8 hands-on labs available. They are:
- IBM Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE)
- IBM Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW)
- TM1py 101
- Apliqo UX
- Next steps to become a Developer (Developer 101)
Each hands-on lab should take no more than 1-hour to complete to get your introduced to these topics.
