TM1 Function – TM1RPTISEXPANDED

Available In

Excel

Definition

Returns a boolean value if an element is expanded on the row set.

Used for Dynamic Reports (Active Form).

Syntax

TM1RPTELISEXPANDED(RPTROWFORMULA, Element)

RPTROWFORMULA = an absolute reference to the formula TM1RPTROW, a dynamic Report function
Element = an element returned from TM1RPTROW

Example

In a Dynamic Report, identify elements that are expanded and not expanded using a view from the Product Scorecard cube.

TM1RPTELISEXPANDED does not appear as a default in a Dynamic Report, however you can add it to add control logic with the report.

Here is a Dynamic Report from the Product Scorecard cube.

To use TM1RPTELISEXPANDED, you must refer to the cell with RptRowFormula and make it absolute, in this instance it is $B$21. The element is the result that comes from RptRowFormula. Because this will expand and collapse depending on the user’s usage, the reference will not be absolute and refer to B21.

Cell G21 = TM1RPTELISEXPANDED($B$21, B21)

The returned value will be TRUE, because All Product is expanded.

Copy the formula down to all rows and the formula will return a value for each row.
